Steere House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
From Life Done Right SeniorWiki
Steere House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is a 120-bed nursing home facility located in Providence, Rhode Island. Steere is famous for owning Oscar the Cat, a resident cat who has special powers that allow him to predict when a nursing home patient is about to die. Oscar the Cat makes the rounds in the nursing home, befriending all with his companionship. But Oscar the Cat seems to know when trouble is coming. Just hours before a patient dies, Oscar the Cat will jump up on the bed and snuggle there until the person passes away. Oscar the Cat may sound like a hoax, but the staff point out that he has presided over 25 deaths so.
