Casa de Ancianos is a nursing home located in Chapala, Jalisco, Mexico. In 1970 a priest, Father Raul Navarro, donated the land which is located in a quiet neighborhood in the northern part of Chapala. It is situated on a small hill overlooking a beautiful pine grave. In 1971 the Ladies Auxiliary of Chapala, headed by. Mrs. Gertrude Ratay, raised $300,000 for the buildings. The main,building was opened to residents in 1972. Later, casitas and studio apartments were added.
The buildings are surrounded by beautiful lawns, flowering trees, and plants. You may wish to visit Casa de Ancianos to see if it is suitable for your self, a friend or lave one. The casa can not accommodate individuals needing hospitalization. Or you may wish to donate your services, some goods, or money.
