The Affordable Assisted Living Coalition (AALC) is a 501(c)(6) not-for-profit organization, headquartered in Springfield, Illinois. As a membership-supported organization, AALC represents the supportive living industry, including developers, providers and business partners. As of July 2007, 79 Supportive Living Facilities were in operation, with 6,122 apartments. Another 68 sites and 5,562 apartment units were under development. Through advancement of best practices, provision of strong leadership and development of strategic partnerships and alliances, the Coalition aims to advance the Illinois Supportive Living Program as the premiere affordable assisted living model in the country.
AALC promotes the overall success of the supportive living model. Members can call on our resources for assistance with public presentations, development of press releases and informing legislators and State agencies about the Supportive Living Program and project progress.
